Ben and Craig Werth
Craig Werth is a U.S. based multi-instrumentalist songwriter who has captured hearts and minds across North America for his uncommon blend of musicianship, humour, wordcraft and insight into the human condition. For this unique Father’s Day performance at The Switchboard, he will be performing with his son, Benjamin. This light-hearted, father-son duo will perform both acapella and original songs delivered with honesty and passion, accompanying their vocals with guitar, ukulele, octave mandolin, and banjo. We’re delighted to invite you to this special Acoustic Sunday performance at The Switchboard.
Ben Werth is from the New Hampshire lakes region. Ben has enjoyed performing since he was young, blending guitar with his naturally positive spirit and high energy. You can find him most days enjoying life and introducing music to his young daughter, Ryland.
Craig Werth has a talent for creating new songs that honour tradition, earning high praise in Sing Out and Canada’s Penguin Eggs magazines for his solo CD - "The Spokes Man". Within the Folk-DJ charts, Craig has received several “best album of the year” nods. He toured internationally for several years as co-arranger/accompanist for Canada’s David Francey, and has a Juno award as co-producer and every-track-artist for Francey’s Best Album of the Year — “Right of Passage. www.craigwerth.com
